My original in tent, was that the Bashir segment, expressed the chances or whom might win the Republican race, and that anyone could win by default if not convention.

Mitt Romney is a moderate, because Republicans know that Obama is a moderate* and they try to take on strength** with strength.

Newt Gingrich is a Conservative*, because he is trying to out value or nuance Romney.

Is the Republican race the old circular firing squad of the Hamilton/Burr conflict?

[Against Romney Obama can move left. Against Gingrich, he can stay moderate. The checks and balances are between the branches, we need cooperation, compromise and more progressives in the legislature to get anywhere. Failing that, gridlock is a failsafe.

Two NYPD officers were gunned down in their own squad cars on Saturday afternoon. Words are far from sufficient to express the horror and tragedy that such an event represents.  My above nuance is only a beginning.  It is unfortunate that it seems to have become an instant blame game.  It seems that if freedom of speech is not protected only criminals will be using it.

Words are far from sufficient to express the horror and tragedy that such an event represents.  My above(~)nuance is only a beginning but is unfortunate that it seems to have become an instant blame game.  It seems that if freedom of speech is not protected only criminals will be using it.
